Exosomes are extracellular vesicles (30–150 nm) that carry growth factors, peptides, lipids and signalling molecules between cells. In aesthetics, plant- or stem-cell-derived exosome concentrates are used after microneedling, laser or fractional treatments to accelerate recovery, reduce inflammation and stimulate fibroblasts and hair follicles.
